Research And Prevention For Unsafe Behavior Of Construction Worker Based On Vulnerability

Construction industry is one of important industries influencing the national economy, and China’s robust economic growth also contribute to rapid development of construction industry. However, safety accidents in recent years also present high-risk situation coming with that, and the unsafe behavior is the direct cause of the accident. Therefore, for making preventing strategy and reducing the occurrence possibility of unsafe behavior, it is critical to research the mechanism causing unsafe behavior of human beings.In theory, the mechanism causing unsafe behavior was analyzed based on vulnerability. Vulnerability influence the unreliability and insecurity of behavior through susceptibility and damageability, result in accident in the end, so vulnerability is an important reason to unsafe behavior. The route of vulnerability affecting unsafe behavior is pointed: at first the worker receives the disturb or seduce from outside through man’s susceptibility. It makes the unsafe behavior and accidents possible; then because of the damageability of worker, the unsafe behavior and accidents may result in loss for enterprises and workers. It not only enriches the research theory system of unsafe behavior, but also provide a new solution or method for preventing or managing unsafe behavior for construction companies.In practical, it takes falling accident from scaffold as an example to study unsafe behavior. Using field work and questionnaire survey to get the data of main factors influencing unsafe behavior. Using factor analysis to screen main factors affecting unsafe behavior. In terms of susceptibility, main influencing factors are: environment, emotion and attitude; in terms of damageability, main influencing factors are: emergency response capacity, healthy status and mental state. At last, aiming at reduce susceptibility and damageability, the prevention strategy of unsafe behavior was proposed.
