Under the condition of the equilibrium state, the sucker rod pumping unit system works well, energy-saving obviously. And in general, the pumping unit applies work differently at up and down strokes stage, because the polished rod load is variation within a stroke cycle. Sucker rod pumping unit work in underbalanced conditions,not only will cause the stress components uneven, transmission system damage, but also can increase the pumping system energy consumption.According to the demand of the rod pumping well oil production and the characteristics of dispersed position, distance apart for each pumping unit well, this thesis investigates various parameters acquisition and calculation of sucker rod pumping unit well, data remote transmitting, equilibrium rate calculation data management and data displaying. And a remote monitoring system is built, which is a three-tier management mode consisting of the field data acquisition and calculation, remote data transmission, upper computer data management and displaying. The main work completed is as follows:Firstly, this thesis designed the modular of field data acquisition and calculation, realized the remote wireless data transmission based on GPRS, which satisfied the requirements of engineering project.Secondly, with the help of SQL Server 2005 to store the real-time data of sucker rod pump, that realized the function of data management, database backup and restore, meanwhile, decreased the loss of dada losing which caused by man-made operation accidents or unpredictable external factors.Thirdly, C# language was used to write upper computer programs in the Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 development environment. Through the upper software the consumers can timely monitor the parameters such as equilibrium rate, pumping speed, electrical parameters, and query the historical data as well as historical curves.Finally, this thesis accomplished the compute of equilibrium rate with three methods, which were peak-current method, peak-active power method and active energy method, in addition, analyzed and compared the three methods, it turned out that the last method was provided with the characteristics that the results were more accurate, operation was easier and timeliness was better, which could meet the requirements of monitoring system.
