In modern society, plate shearing machine is an equipment which used for cutting metallic plate by using the fixed lower blade and the moving upper blade. At present, the design of plate shearing machine is still using the traditional design method, designers use the experience formula, experience data, graphics and manual to design the plate shearing machine, but this method has great limitation, which can not improve the distribution of stress and the shearing precision of the machine effectively. Due to this situation, this paper takes the QC11Y-16×2500 plate shearing machine as the research object. On the basis of the finite element analysis theory,studying the parametric modeling, static analysis, dynamic analysis and structural optimization design of the machine.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)The mechanical properties of the plate shearing machine were calculated, and the stress analysis of the different parts of the machine was carried out, which provided the data for the finite element analysis. In order to provided the foundation of the model for finite element analysis, the model of the frame and the upper tool carrier were carried out.(2)The static analysis of the frame and the upper tool carrier were carried out,and the actual shearing process was simulated on the frame and the upper tool carrier respectively, the distribution of stress and strain on each shearing position was obtained, and the strength and rigidity of the plate shearing machine were checked.(3)Modal analysis was carried out on the frame of the machine, and obtained the first ten order natural frequencies and mode shapes of the frame. The impact of the various modes of vibration on the working performance was analysed, and found out the damaged area of the rack.(4)On the basis of the static analysis, and guaranteed the working performance of the plate shearing machine, topology optimization and size optimization were designed for the frame. Compared the optimization schemes, and choosed a morereasonable structural optimization program of the frame.
