Research On Industrial Structure Adjustment Of Beijing, Tianjin And Hebei Province Based On Carbon Emission

In recent years, Global Warming has become a focused issue globally. The Report of the UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change(IPCC) 2013 made it clear that since the 1950 s human activity has led to(over 50%) the majority of the global mean surface temperatures in a possibility of more than 95%. It suggests that in the comings countries to respond to climate warming will face greater pressure and challenges. As a key strategic development area, low-carbon development, industrial restructuring and upgrading in Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei are important in China’s industrial low-carbon development. Based on the perspective of carbon emissions, the status of low-carbon economy in the Metropolitan Area has been studied. The purpose is to find low-carbon industrial structure adjustment direction of the region.Firstly, analyze the law of development of industrial structure and its relation to carbon emissions standing on the perspective of low-carbon economy, as a starting point to research and evaluate low-carbon industrial structure adjustment.Secondly, apply carbon emission calculation model, carbon intensity model and the industrial structure evolving calculation model to analyze the actual data. Then find that the adjustment of industrial structure in Hebei Province deserves attention, and be taken as a breakthrough in empirical research in this paper.Again, use the methods of grey correlation analysis and panel data analysis to study the relationship between the industrial structure and carbon emissions in the area gradually. The paper can conclude that the influence of carbon intensity from industrial structure, economic growth in Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei is reversed but quite different.Finally, based on the results of empirical analysis herein, make policy recommendations to achieve low-carbon coordinated development, mainly upon the three industry structure adjustment for Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei.
