Fructus Piperis Longi (bibo) is one of the commonly used medicines in traditional Mongolian medicine and traditional Chineae medicine. In this dissertation, The qulity investigation of conmmercial Fructus Piperis Longi, the preparation technic and quality control methods of the extract from Fructus Piperis Longi were established.A review on the research progress of traditional Chinese medicine extract, chemical constituents, pharmacological activities and clinical application of fructus Piperis Longi was presented.Quality investigation of conmmercial Fructus Piperis Longi 24 batch of commercial Fructus Piperis Longi was carried on the TLC identification, determination of the principal constituent and limit test. The materials that quality superior to other were chosed in the technical study by general analysis.Research on the preparation technic of Fructus Piperis Longi extract the extract technic was optimized by L9 (34) orthogonal design with pipeline as criterions: the plant was immersed with A % ethanol for B hours, C volumes of solvent and D mL/min of flow rate. Then taken pipeline as the target product, the purification factors was inspected. The saponified crystallization purification method was established by comparing three different methods, such as macroporous adsorption resin, extract and saponified crystallization. First, the sample solution was concentrated, in which potassium hydroxide ethyl alcohol solution was added by stiring the solution slowly at the temperature of E2 in the water bath, then It was filtered out the insoluble substance, and distilled water was added slowly at the temperature of F2 in the water bath, and Fructus Piperis Longi extract was obtained by cooling at the temperature of G1, filterd and dried .Research on quality control method of Fructus Piperis Longi extract The qualitative and quantitative analysis method of Fructus Piperis Longi extract was established by TLC and HPLC, respectively. A reliable and accurate high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method was developed for the quantitation of pipeline in the Fructus Piperis Longi extract with linear range of 12~84μg/mL, The assay results of the pipeline in the Fructus Piperis Longi extract were 67.8 % (RSD=2.7 %). The methods were simple, accurate, rapid and specific, which can be used as the quality control of the Fructus Piperis Longi extract. The water content, the ash, the heavy metal, the arsenicum inspection of Fructus Piperis Longi extract has been established, which was guaranteed the security and reliability of Fructus Piperis Longi extract.Research on the stability of Fructus Piperis Longi extract Through carrying on the influencing factor experiment, the acceleration test and the long-term test, extract was presented steady state under the the glare illuminates, high temperature, the humidity condition. In the inspection of 1-8 month-long experiment, the extract overall stability was nice, which showed the extrct was suitable to be made to each kinds of traditional Chinese medicine preparation.
