Study On The Preparation And Quality Standards Of Huoliyuan Capsule

Huoliyuan Capsule,which is made from total Ginsenosides of Gingseng.Astragalus membranaceus(Fisch.)Bge.Ophiopogon japonicus(Thunb.)Ker-Gawl.Schisandra chinensis(Turcz.)Baill and Aconitum carmichaeli Debx.,is an effective prescription in treating morbid forgetfulness and insomnia causing by deficiency of both vital energy and yin or both heart and nephros.The auther has made a study on its preparation and quality standard. 1.Study on the preparationHuoliyuan Capsule is a dosage form Huoliyuan Tablet. In accordance with proerties of medicinal materials and specificity of indications of the prescription, the Capsule was selected as the dosage form of the drug.Study on extraction process of deoxy-schisandrin from Schisandra chinensis(Turcz.)Baill.Using the transferring rate of deoxy-schisandrin and extractum as indexes,The auther selected the optimum extracting condition with water and alcohole by orthogonal test.The optimal conditions were obtained by reflux exaction using sevenfold 90% alcohol for 1.5h and fivefold 90% alcohol for 1.0h. 2.Study on Quality standardsThe auther studied on the discrimination of total Ginsenosides of Gingseng、Astragalus membranaceus(Fisch.)Bge.and Schisandra chinensis(Turcz.)Baill.,established the qualitative methods,determined Ginsenosides Rgl of Gingseng and Ginsenosides Re of Gingseng in Huoliyuan Capsule by HPLC.In the results,Average recovery rate of Ginsenosides Rgl of Gingseng was 97.39% while RSD was 2.94%, Ginsenosides Re of Gingseng was 99.81% while RSD was 1.56%.On the basis of the above-mentioned quantitative analysis menthod for Ginsenosides Rg1 of Gingseng and Ginsenosides Re of Gingseng,the quality standard of Huoliyuan Capsule was drafted.
