Nanjing Industrial Heritage Landscape Research

In China’s current development of urban renewal, removal of a large number of valuableindustrial site causes destruction of a lot of valuable industrial heritage, leading to historical faultof urban development and ruthless obliteration of human precious emotion of industrialheritage.Industrial heritage is a precious wealth of human, and is a non-renewable resource. Scanwidely international, European and American countries have deeply developed industrial heritageconservation and regeneration work in recent decades, setting up the relevant laws andregulations, and obtained certain achievements in the practice of reform.However, in Beijing,Shanghai and other developed city in China, local governments didn’t pay attention to the valueof the industrial heritage until recent years, and developed conservation work.According to the thinking of development of culture industry construction in the nationaleleventh five-year plan, creative industry has gradually became the hot spots of industrydevelopment in major cities in recent years. Using overseas successful cases of creative industryfor reference, some large and medium cities in China has been developing creative industry andconstructing creative industry parks.Nanjing，a famous historic city, as well as the place of origin of China’s modern industry, isalso one of cities taking the lead in developing industrial heritage conservation and regeneration.As a regional central city in China, Nanjing has a special influence in many aspects..At presentmany industrial heritage of Nanjing are reformed to creative industry parks. In view of thisdevelopment model, this article, from the view of landscape science, studies industrial heritagelandscape design, with analysis of Nanjing’s practical strategy in industrial heritage conservationand regeneration, and investigates regeneration strategy of the industrial heritage landscapedesign and creative industry combination. Analysis advantages and disadvantages of this model,choose the prime and remove the dreg, and provide a feasible strategy for China’s industrialheritage conservation and regeneration to promote the development of industrial heritageconservation and regeneration work.
