With the development of society, large-space buildings have increased year by year.The fire incident of these buildings is complex and difficult to control, which wouldresult in huge economic losses and casualties. Fire cannons are effective equipments todeal with this kind of situation. The fire technology of China lags behind thedevelopment of society and has not kept pace with social progress. In recent years,people have come to realize the importance of fire technology, but we can’t learnadvanced fire technology because of the technological blockade from developedcountries. This subject did an analysis of a German main fire cannon for its optimizationand established a theoretical basis for optimizing the fire cannon in real life.The paper researched into the key technology of fire cannon jet and set up the firecannon model. Through the analysis of the fire cannon jet theory, this paper improvesthe fire cannon and obtains an ideal effect. First of all, the paper maked a study of thefire cannon jet theory, analyzes jet characteristics and equations and applies ballisticstheory into the analysis of the fire cannon complex jet movement. Second, the paperapplied both the reverse design and traditional method into the establishment of the firecannon model in CATIA. Then the fire cannon fluid model was meshed and dividedinto17parts for higher precision with GAMBIT, so that the accuracy of fluid analysisresult was ensured. Next, the paper analyzed the fire cannon fluid dynamic controlequation, turbulence model and SIMPLE algorithm, simulated the fire cannon withFLUENT and got the information about the flow field of the fire cannon. In the end, thepaper analyzed the fire cannon channel and nozzle flow field, and maked optimizationof the fire cannon, including the improvement of the channel and nozzle, reducing thefire cannon vibration problem with the adding of guide plate, and improving theextreme range through the optimization of nozzle by12%, with the maximum flow alsoincreased. The comparison between the different working conditions before and afterthe optimization shows that the reliability and property of the fire cannon is greatlyimproved.The special working condition in the airport makes high performance requirementson the fire cannon. Therefore, this subject has great significance to the fire cannonstudy.
