Development Of Integration System Of Automatic Control Of Fire Cannon

It is hard to handle large space buildings fire safety problem because of their special constructional features. The traditional automatic fire-extinguish system is insufficient in large spaces. Fire cannon control systems with suitable fire detection is an effective measure to deal with this problem. So this thesis is aimed to develop integration control system of the fire cannon.Using Visual Basic program language, this thesis develops an integration system which include fire detection and alarm module, water cannon control module, video monitor module and so on. The software can realize the communication between the host computer and interrelated child systems.In the fire detection and location system, infrared location method and image location method are integrated. The system transmitted information between fire detection system and center processor through coaxial cable. Host computer communicated with center processor by USB. By the fire cannon and interconnected equipments control module, fire cannon can be manually/automatically turned to the fire position and valve and fire pump can be opened to extinguish fire according to the fire alarm information. The fire cannons are controlled by DDC (Digital Direct Control). The center processor monitors the DDC by RS485 communication means. In the video monitor systems, the author programmed in software development kit to realize video search the protected area, picture and kinescope. This thesis also discusses experiments in the laboratorial situation which prove the system was prompt and effective. Moreover the systems is applied and validated in a project.The fire detection and fire cannon control systems in this thesis is suitable to fire protection in big space building. It has a prosperous future.
