With the continuous development of the urbanization of China and the growing tensionsof urban land, more and more office buildings appear in the city with the image of the ultra-high-rise building. As one of the most economically developed and the fastest developingdistrict of China, this phenomenon is more obvious in Guangzhou district. However, while theultra-high-rise office buildings conservating land and improving city’s image, their hugebuilding volume and unique design approach inevitably casused tremendous pressure in termsof building energy consumption.Although more and more architects have begun to realize the energy-saving demand inthe process of architectural design, but given the current lack of energy-saving optimizedresearch on the process of architectural design based on the quantized, making architects onlyown qualitative concept without quantitative concept about the significant relationshipbetween different factors affecting energy consumption and building energy consumptionthrought the process of architectural design. They also can not grasp the regularity of differentfactors on building energy consumption, and only own qualitative concept withoutquantitative concept about energy-saving potential caused by optimal design of differentfactors. So when these energy-saving optimization strategy which only have qualitativeanalysis but lacking appropriate quantitative research adopted by architects can’t be enoughconvincing to make them confident. This issue is a response to this situation. This paper makethe standard layer of ultra-high-rise office building in Guangzhou district as the researchobject, the main research work is as follows:1. Summarized the factors affecting energy consumption occurred through the phase ofarchitectural design of the standard layer of ultra-high-rise office building inGuangzhou district.2. Research the data of20ultra-high-rise office building in Guangzhou district andnational design specification, then collate and statistics the research data to obtain thecommon values in architectural design practice of these factors affecting energycomsumption as the basic data for the next computer simulation work.3. Using orthogonal test and DeST-c computer simulation to analyse the sensitivitybetween these factors and energy consumption to determine the sensitive relationshipbetween the factors and energy consumtption.4. Using DeST-c conduct the regularity simulation of single factor in connection withthe energy-saving analysis of the factors occurred in the floor plan design of the standard layers which few studied in China to obtain the influence regularity ofdifferent factors affecting energy comsumption, and with the process of furtherquantitative the data to obtain the energy-saving potential and its regularity acquiredby each condition relative to the consumption-based model.
