The conventional bus system is an important part of urban public transport.Reasonable network planning and scheduling design can effectively improve theefficiency and reliability of the system. The length of conventional bus line, whichboth the development trends of city itself and the residents psychological andbehavioral by normal bus effect, has a large relationship with its LOS and economicbenefits. Considering the conventional bus could meet the traffic demand, differentlength and layout mode will result in different headway stability. The operatingperformance of the conventional bus scheduling system directly determines its qualityand attractions. To improve the stability of the headway could greatly reduce the time,money loss of passengers and bus companies because of conventional bus runningassembly. There for, it is necessary to improve of the conventional bus systemoptimization based on the headway. Based on the theory of the stability of headway,the paper use SP and RP methods to investigate the travelling choice behaviors ofpassenger, analysis its distributions under the influence of bus-headway and find thethreshold of the headway. Use the survey with the car to statistics distribution of theconventional bus running assembly or blankly and analyze its causes. The applyVISSIM simulation software to analyze the relationship between the stability of thebus-headway and length, line combinations, network layout mode, stations selection,the waiting time.Finally, the writer builds a reconstruction model of bus lines layout mode thataims the shortest average additional travel time. The writer analysis the relationshipbetween different bus stations modes and the stability of bus-headway. Take theshortest time of the average additional as an aim to analysis the situation withdifferent time intervals under threshold stability of bus-headway. Ultimately definitethe best regular bus line length and the scheduling station location and time.
