To ensure the smooth highway bridge is the throat, the carrying capacity and trafficcapacity is a key communication line, directly affect the highway economic benefit and socialbenefit, so the normal operation of highway bridge is the key all of highway.Safety evaluationand optimal design of highway road infrastructure is one of the important means to preventeffectively and reduce the traffic accident. It is in terms of alignment to find the potentialfactor of the traffic accident in analyzing and appraising the project of the highway. Doing itaccident can be prevented before it happens, personnel and property loss can be reduced thegreatest extent.By analyzing the elements that influence highway safety, such as plane, vertical, crosssection, sight distance, installations along the alignment, operating speed, the paper reformsand confirms a new index system. The index system include alignment relatedindex, installations related index, speed related index. Each index evaluation standards andscoring rules was given. Then establish a set of highway alignment safety comprehensiveassessment model combining the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation theory, and give evaluationprocess and procedure. Realize the goal that make a quantitative evaluation for the bridgealignment safety. At last, using the research achievement evaluate the safety of a highwaybridge project. The evaluate result proves the rationality and feasibility of evaluationsystem. This evaluation method can be used not only in the inspection of bridges design phaseand in the selection of alignment schemes, but also in the evaluation of the completed bridgessafety, so that the problems of bridges alignment can be founded and be solved.
