Asphalt mixing plant is one of the equipment for road maintenance.Due to theintroduction of foreign technology, domestic asphalt mixing equipment has improved rapidlyin technical.However,the structure design of asphalt mixing equipment has not drawnattention.Domestic designers often use traditional design methods during the design of steelstructures, the static calculation in the planar force system is usually used,which takesmeasure of averaging method of the plane structural mechanies.Since the calculation is doneby hand,the calculation procession is quite complex and the result is defective.This paper takes the type of HZS150steel structure as the research object for thestudy.The large-scaled finite elemen analysis program named ANSYS is used in this paper.On the consideration of the interaetion between the spatial constructional elements, finiteelement model is made and the following respects will be further discussed:First of all, according to the stress status of the mixing plant steel structure in actualwork situation, the appropriate load and boundary conditions is set to calculate the stressdistribution and deformation law under various working conditions.Secondly, each order natural frequency and modal characteristics of the structure can beobtained through modal analysis of the mixing plant steel structure, from which the dynamiccharacteristics of the structure is evaluated entirety.Thirdly,the structure response under several frequences is determined by harmonicresponse analysis of the main frame-tower structure, the "peak" of the correspondingfrequency response can also be found.Finially, establish the structure optimization model to get the structural light-weightingon the premise of strength and stiffness requirement. Then verify the correctness of systemdesign and the efficiency of the optimization approach by checking the result of the design.
