| With the city’s rapidly growing, the construction of municipal roads and highways hasincreased year by year and at the same time, in China’s highway rapid development, we alsofaces a problem about how to repair damaged asphalt pavement quickly and efficiently. Asmall area damage of the pavement is one of the main diseases which directly affects thetraffic safety and comfort; And the pothole repair operation is also one of the main operationtypes of asphalt pavement regular maintenance, the quality and life of pothole repairdetermine the pavement operation quality and the overall benefit of pavement maintenance.The recent research indicates that the quality of circular pothole repair is much better than thatof the quadrate pothole repair for asphalt pavement at the same condition. Therefore, toresearch and develop a kind of circular milling machine to make circular potholes on asphaltpavement is the key condition to achieve the circular pothole repair, it can meet the demandsof small area damaged pavement repair in municipal roads and highways, which can achievelarger gains with low costs, and it has important practical significance and good social benefit.Based on professor Song Yonggang’s invention patent“a kind of asphalt pavementmilling machine for circular potholeâ€, this paper analyses the existing milling machine’sstructure, function, principle and designs a reasonable milling device of the asphalt pavementmilling machines for circular pothole. This paper focuses on the propelling structure of themilling spindle and assembling structure of the three stage cutters as well as the importantparameters about these structures, also gives out the checkout process of these parameters. Itdiscusses the design form of the three stage assembling cutters and cutter arrangement form ofeach stage cutter, gives out the points at which the main cutters and side cutters located aswell as the angle at which the cutters installed, and analyzes some aspects about cutters withits wear, selection and use. It establishes the entity models of the milling cutter head and theprocess of milling pavement, makes the display dynamic simulation about milling processthrough setting different cutter rotation speed and vertical speed by the finite element analysissoftware ANSYS Workbench, analyzes and discusses its simulation results. It discusses thedestruction mechanism of asphalt pavement at normal atmospheric temperature, based on the theory analysis, this paper calculates the milling resistance on the milling cutter, and gives outthe calculation load which the hydraulic motor applied on the milling core shaft to cut theasphalt concrete.This paper provides a design reference towards a circular pit groove milling deviceresearch work, and gives a complete mechanism design theory and calculation method. Thereis certain reference value to the circular groove milling device further perfect function andperformance optimization. |
