Research On Waiting Spatial Pattern Of The Large-Scale Railway Station For The Changes Of Seasonal Passenger

In recent years, the railway transportation developed rapidly as the constructionof passenger special railway in the nationwide. The building of railway encounters agreat opportunity for its development.The passenger transportation has a striking characteristic of seasonal variation.During the Spring Festival, the summer holiday, National Day Golden Week and anyother short break holidays would be the peak time for passenger transport. Thesituation will go on as traditional ideas of people would not be changed. With thegreat development of the society and economy in our country, the desire of travelingof people will continually increase. The railway play a significant role in passengertransportation and the railway station is an important part for the passenger. Thewaiting space is key point of the construction. The research of dealing with seasonalvariation of passenger flow and the demand of different waiting spatial pattern whichmakes an effective and comfortable way of the design of station is an importantsubject.Base on the survey and investigation in the past year, this paper summarizesthree different waiting spatial pattern which are Waiting Pattern, Waiting WithPassing Pattern and Passing Pattern. Summarizing the characteristic of different typeof waiting spatial pattern in station dealing with the seasonal variation of passengerafter the investigation of two typical railway station for a year. And strategies arecame up for design of the station.The data and material in this paper will be provide for those who design therailway station reference.
