With the increasingly attention of surrounding landscape design, it needsmore and more landscape assessment tools to provide references for theenvironmental design, to adapt to continuously improved needs of highenvironment quality in social life, to improve the design quality from asubjective evaluation. Japanese believed that the green looking ratio (theproportion of green leaves in vision) plays a role of make up and dress up thelandscape for messy Japanese residential.Based on the environmental psychology,the green looking ratio expresses the abstract relationship between environmentand psychology by the form of quantization, simplifys the virescence information,and reflects the three-dimensional form of urban green space.This paper conducted a survey of OCT community of Shenzhen inGuangdong Province, to investigate whether the green looking ratio has animpact on landscape assessment, and provide a space usage patterns and optimalvalue of green looking ratio for the landscape design or reform in the future.In this paper, we investigated a variety of building forms in OCT community,obtained the green looking ratio data by the same collection way and providedmultiple landscape photos to conners for assessment. It is indicated that theincrease of green looking ratio will also increase the pleasing level. In addition,it also shows that an appropriate green looking ratio will contribute to theidentification of landscape.The most obvious factor affecting the judgment of personal preferences isgreen, followed by the layout, road, color, shape and so on. From the impact onlandcape aspect of formal beauty, function and cultural, it is proved that greenlooking ratio has a positive correlation with the air quality and the plantconfigure; moderate green looking ratio will increase the formal beauty oflandscape; provide a better recognition and comfort of landscape. And high greenlooking ratio has a great impact on the satisfaction of the requirements of humanphysiological, social, respect and self-realization.
