Currently, large-scale public buildings area is about400~500million square meters,accounting for4%of the total area of the urban construction, but its power consumptionhas accounted for22%of the total power consumption of urban construction in china.Cement and steel consumption accounted for20%of the total production. And about50%gases which could cause the greenhouse effect, come from the activities related tothe large-scale public buildings. So high consumption of energy and resources andheavy pollution of environment have become the problems urgently to be solved inlarge-scale public buildings. Under the background of sustainable development, thestudy on sustainability for large-scale public buildings arises at the historic moment. andsustainability assessment is the key issues in the study. But due to the lack of scientificsystem and effective assessment tool, it is hard to accurately master the sustainable levelof large-scale public buildings in different life stages. So the study on sustainabilityassessment syatem for large-scale public buildings is particularly urgent.According to the above problems, there is a comprehensive analysis ofsustainability of large-scale public buildings in this paper. Focused on the keyperformance indicators which are energy, resources and environment, depended on thedifferent life stage of large-scale public buildings, seven dimensions such as the energy,water resources, material resources, land, traffic, outdoor environmental quality andindoor environment quality have been determined through frequency-statistics methodand professional-consulting method, then the sustainability assessment index system isbuilt; Combined the questionnaire with AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) to determinethe index weight at various levels, and the theory of FCE (Fuzzy ComprehensiveEvaluation) are used to assessment the sustainable level, then established the compositeassessment model based on AHP-FCE; Used the examples to verify the effectivity and feasibility of the comprehensive assessment method; The system of wireless dataacquisition scheme for assessment indicators is desighed on ZigBee and GPRStechnology, the database of sustainability assessment indicators about energyconsumption and environmental quality is established, and intelligent assessmentinformation management system is developed, which could achieve the goal ofscientific, accurate and efficient assessment.The study in this paper combined qualitative and quantitative analysis, subjectiveand objective analysis. The study could accurately assess the sustainability oflarge-scale public buildings. Provide the relevant departments of the scientific andeffective assessment methods and tools. Also could improve the decision-making level,provide a solid theoretical foundation and the necessary technical support for thedevelopment and promotion of sustainable architecture.
