In recent years, with the rapid development of economy and society of our country,urbanization process is accelerated. The proportion of large-scale public buildingsincrease rapidly, the scale of it expands unceasingly, which is one of the importantsymbols of the city modernization level. It not only plays a huge role in public serviceand social management, but also has a "role model" in design and operation of the citybuilding. Although the proportion of large-scale public buildings is small, it has highenergy consumption and also exists many other problems such as sick buildingsyndrome. The problems are more serious, especially in the area of development such asnorthwest region. Sustainable construction becomes the inevitable choice. The presentproblems are lacking scientific and effective sustainability assessment tools forlarge-scale public buildings according to the characteristics of northwest region. Itmakes the sustainability of large-scale public buildings difficult to measure accurately,which is not conducive to guide the construction of sustainable building effectively.Therefore the research on the large-scale public building sustainability assessment fornorthwest region is particularly urgent.Aimed at above problems, considering the northwest regional economicdevelopment, natural resources, ecological environment and other factors, it buildsindicators system including five key demensions of ecological environment andresource consumption, building environment quality, social and economic benefits,operation and management, and building performance. The sustainability parametermonitoring system for large-scale public buildings is designed. Based on the progressivestepped hierarchy structure, it uses multivariate modeling method to build large-scalepublic building sustainability model for northwest region; At the same time, therelationship between four aspects of environment, society, resources, construction condition and the above indicators system is analyzed. And it determines weights ofregional influence factors, quantifies the factors. Then the sustainability regionalinfluence weights of large-scale public are obtained. Combined with the wholenorthwest region weight system, which is determined by the comprehensive entropyweight method, sustainability assessment weight systems for large-scale publicbuildings of the five northwestern provinces are obtained. Thus it realizes objective,accurate sustainability assessment of large-scale public building in northwest region inChina.In this study, large-scale public building sustainability model for the fivenorthwestern provinces is established, and the monitoring of quantitative sustainabilityindicators and analytical investigation of qualitative indicators are realized. Thedissertation provides a reliable sustainability assessment method for large-scale publicbuildings in northwest region, and promotes application and promotion of sustainablelarge-scale public buildings in the northwestern region. It provides a theoretical basisand practical guidance for the implementation of large-scale public buildings which isenergy-saving, healthy and overall "sustainable".
