Data Management And Host Computer Research For Monitoring System Of Train Running State

The railway transportation is developing in a direction of heavy-load andhigh-speed. Meanwhile, the monitoring system, applied to monitor the rolling stockcondition, is developing rapidly. The train is a large and complex electromechanicaldevice. At present, although many domestic monitoring systems have been developed,few of them could operate well in practical. Therefore, it is difficult to realizereal-time monitoring in train running status.After summarizing the deficiency of the operated system, the research group ledby the author’s supervisor designed and developed a new monitoring system for trainrunning status. This system distinguishes essentially from previous systems in dataanalysis and hardware structure so that it performs well in monitoring the trainrunning status. This thesis is based on this project, and in this project the authordesigned and developed the Master of the monitoring system.The thesis analyzes the managing method of data which comes from train’s statemonitoring system and the design of the monitoring master. This system controls theworking state of monitoring devices and the contents on the displayer through themonitoring master’s sending messages. The monitoring data will be transmitted byUSB data dumping to the ground software to be further analyzed. Based on theRS-422bus, the train’s operating state monitoring system functions according to thepattern of one leader with multi-followers. The monitoring master adopts the typeARM MCU(Micro programmed Control Unit), STM32F207VG, as the controllingcore. And the monitoring devices adopt the digital signal processing chipTMS320C6726, which is with high performance from TI company, as its corehardware system.The thesis introduces the whole structure and the modules’ function of the train’soperating state monitoring system. Such as, the junction device collects theinformation of malfunction; the master manages the messages and dumps data; Thedisplayer displays the results of the monitoring system’s diagnosis and supplies someprompts. Then the function of the master is described in detail. It contains two aspects. One is the entire control and monitoring of the train’s operating state monitoringsystem. The other one is the management and maintenance to the real time data. Theauthor accomplishes the study of multi-devices data transmit which based on the bussystem and the study of the conservation and management of massive data. Also, theauthor designs the hardware of the master in accordance with the master’s function,and debugs the software and completes the software engineering.
