The problem of rural drinking water safety has been widely concerned, and thestate council asked the population proportion of the national rural centralized watersupply to be improved to about80%. The western mountainous rural areas has a seriesof characteristics, such as complicated topography, dispersed living and backwardeconomy, so it is necessary to study a water supply technology which is suitable formountainous villages.Both the new upward flow spiral inclined plates sedimentation technology and thenew downward flow spiral inclined plates sedimentation technology, which can be usedin integrated devices, are very efficient. To contrast the sedimentation efficiency of theupward flow spiral inclined plates with that of the downward flow spiral inclined plates,a upward flow spiral inclined plates with a single channel and a downward flow spiralinclined plates with a single channel are designed and machined. Using the tap watermixed with Jialing River sediment as trial water, the turbidity removal efficiency of thetwo spiral inclined plates under different surface load isstudied respectively. Theexperimental results show that the upward flow spiral inclined plates can be influencedby surface load easily, while the surface load of the downward flow spiral inclinedplatesis3.75timesthe sedimentation efficiency of the upward flow spiral inclined plates.Compared to the new integrated device with downward flow spiral inclined plates,the new integrated device with upward flow spiral inclined plates has advantages of lessmaterial consumption, easy manufacturing and strong ability to resist turbidity load. Tosolve the water supply problem in Ganjiaba, Hechuan District, Chongqing City, a newintegrated water purification equipment with upward flow spiral plates is designed andbuilt, and the Jialing river water removal efficiency is researched, and the Jialing riverwater treatment efficiency is researched.In debugging experiment, the new integrated water purification equipment hasgood effect on raw water with normal turbidity and raw water with high turbidity duringthe torrential rain period.During continuous running, the Hechuan District Center forDisease Control and Prevention tests the finished water and the related indicators meetthe requirement of Hygienic Standard for Drinking Water.The successful application of the new integrated water purification equipment inGanjiaba provides valuable experience for water supply in mountainous villages. There are many problems in the operation management of the new integrated waterpurification equipment because of backward levels in all aspects. It is thereforenecessary to explore a operation management system fit for water supply system inmountainous villages.
