With the current world energy dwindling, the world in addition to attention to thedevelopment and utilization of new energy sources, but also a special focus on thedevelopment and use of energy-saving field. Especially as this country in the worldper capita resource bottom, but in the world ranking of countries per capitaconsumption, a greater need to increase the development and use of electricalenergy-saving technologies, in order to achieve sustainable socio-economicdevelopment. Development and use of energy saving has become a hot research themajority of scholars.Matrix converter (MC) is a new "green" energy efficient power converters,compared with conventional power converter MC has many excellent characteristics,such as: small size, two-way flow of energy, input power factor is1, the input andoutput sinusoidal current, no DC energy storage capacitors, etc..The thesis introduces the advantages of the current research and futuredevelopments of matrix converter. First, the mathematical principles derived matrixconverter modulation strategies, in theory expounded indirect space vectormodulation strategy. Studied the matrix converter circuit topology. Of the matrixconverter-permanent magnet synchronous motor system simulation model wassimulated matlab. Obtained and simulation waveforms under different faultconditions. When using indirect space vector modulation strategy, through simulationMC has the good characteristics. The thesis presents a new fault-tolerant matrixconverter control system work under the conditions of failure, analysis the regulationor restructuring of the system of the converter switching circuit structure can ensurethe reliable operation of the system can continue or stop working under the conditionof the system in the event of the switch circuit, short circuit and overload torque loadthree fault conditions. And analysis and compare the FFT of the output voltage andcurrent waveforms of the system, under the conditions of failure and tolerant controltechniques, by simulation, and verified that using different fault-tolerant architectureto ensure system security and stability are still able to run on a different faultconditions may occur or safety shutdown.
