The world’s first UAV appeared in1917,and it has experienced the single functionof model aircraft,drones.Finally, it developed to a degree which can bepre-programme controlled.What’s more, it can use the remote command to control thecomplexity and variety of UAV with complex functions and different kinds.In themilitary of the war, as a military weapon,the UAV has been used to performemergency、important military missions tasks for many times.And it has made manyremarkable achievements,such as,The Israeli war on Egypt and The United States"defender" battle in Vietnam.The UAV system is composed by the telemetry and remote control groundstation,space communication link and the flight control system.While, the telemetryand remote control ground station plays a very critical role in the UAV system. As thecontrolling--center of the UAV system, remote control ground station is responsiblefor completing a variety of tasks in the process of flights.The overall performance ofthe UAV will be greatly affected by the quality of telemetry and remote controlground station.The goal of this project is to design a set of telemetry and remote control groundstation which is to meet the requirements of the UAV.At the beginning of this Paper,it tells about the research significance of the topic and the development of the groundstation and the AUV at present time. From this, the author know that the UAV GroundStation holds a extremely important status in the UAV; Then, it introduces thetelemetry system、remote control system、hardware platforms、software architecturedesign and the implement of each function module in the telemetry and remoteground station system; Besides,this paper gives an elaborate account on basicstructure and work processes of the flight controlling system. And the author alsoproceed a mathematical model of UAV and simulation design UAV attitude controllaw;In addition,this paper analyses the Google Earth application in the telemetry andremote control ground station and the communication link–CCSDS;Finally, theauthor tells about the design of telemetry and remote ground control station systemsoftware which includes the user login module,display module,path planningmodule,database module,data playback module,system debugging module.And itpresents the summary and outlook of the work in this paper. Software design of the system is finished under the Windows XP system.And thedesign select the Visual C++6.0as the development platform,and use the Googleearth maps of secondary development technique.It also use XML/KML technology tocomplete the dynamic display of the Google Earth routes.Space communication linkschoose the space telemetry and telecontrol communication protocol data agreementwhich can complete the information delivery in a reliable,efficient and safesituation.The main functions of telemetry and remote control ground station arereceiving the real-time telemetry data,showing the various parameters during the UAVflight after decoding,and sending remote instructions to change UAV flight state. Thefunctions are also about the editor and display of UAV track, and performing othertasks.
