USMs have been developed as a new concept of motors since the1980’s. It utilizes thevibration of the elastic body(stator) in the ultrasonic frequency band and the reverse piezoelectriceffect of piezoelectric materials. The mechanical movement and torque are obtained by means ofthe frictional contact force between the stator and rotor or slider.Compared with the traditional electromagnetic motors, USMs have the advantages of high torque at low speed, no gear reducer, fast response, self-locking and high resolution of displacement.USMs have been applied in the aerospace, robot and miniature machinery and other high-tech areas. It is because of the fast response, self-locking and other advantages, use the independently developed TRUM40type USM as a power plant develops a type of measurement device set to detect eggshell strength. This force measuring device is different from the traditional hydraulic detection system, operation is simple and convenient, without the complexity of the process of preparing, only need to knock the eggshell a very small crack to complete the test, not contaminated instrumentsand the precision and accuracy of the measured data to achieve a higher level.The dynamometer includes force sensor, mechanical transmission structure, USM, drive,photoelectric sensor and the base. This article describes the design of the dynamometer, details thevarious hardware components of the ultrasonic motor drive controller, and complete the relevantsoftware design, supplemented by experiments to verify the reasonableness of the program. PSoCchip programmable system on chip, the drive controller core processor, make full use of itsavailable user configurable analog module array and the digital module array, combined withexternal sensors and signal processing circuit for ultrasonic motor drive control to complete thetesting process, and the solitary pole voltage feedback to achieve the Steady speed control of themotor.
