Research On Organic Renewal Of Suburban Mining Area In The Mining City

Nowadays，in the background that the China government has always beenputting emphasize on the sustainable development of resource-based cities andnew-type urbanization, mining cities are set about solving their developmentdilemmas and trying to undertake economic transition and spatial restructure, whicheventually accelerates the speed of urbanization. With the development ofsuburbanization and suburb urbanization, the space of the mining cities is go onexpanding outwards, resulting into that, many suburban mining areas in the fringe ofcities are swallowed up by the cities. However, with the influences from their owncomplexity, different management modes of mining and cities, suburban miningareas located in the transition zones between cities and counties are mostly isolatedfrom cities and incorporated in the texture of urban space. Based on the theory ofOrganic Renewal, this thesis builds the target and strategy of Organic Renewal insuburban mining areas, aiming at the organic coordination and sustainabledevelopment of mining areas and cities in such aspects as space, industry,environment, society and so on. In addition, this thesis also is designed to improvethe double dual structure system of mining cities, and promote the integration ofmine-city-county, ultimately providing theoretical and practical references for theupdate development of similar suburban mining areas and mining cities.With the suburban mining areas as research object, this thesis firstly defines itsconcept and spatial scope, and finds out its basic characteristic, including transitivity,dynamic, compound, complexity etc. On this fundamental, this thesis draws into theOrganic Renewal theory, elaborates the meaning of organic renewal in suburbanmining areas, and then analyzes the updating drivers, ulteriorly analyzes thedilemmas and requirements of suburban mining areas under the influences fromdifferent factors. Furthermore, this thesis puts forward explicitly the principles ofOrganic Renewal, the strategies of mining areas′Organic Renewal in industrial,functional, spatial, ecological, cultural and institutional fields, and that the OrganicRenewal of suburban mining areas should bring about the goals in such economic,social, spatial, ecologic and cultural as aspects. Finally, this thesis choosesYangzhuang coal mine of Huaibei city as a simple, coming up with the explicitstrategies of Organic Renewal to guide the orderly development of the mining areaand enforce the fusion and sustainability of mining area and Huaibei city.
