With the increasing of the EMU in main transport artery and the construction project of large and medium size cities’ rail transit has performed, the EMU manufacturing industry has made great progress. Except for the introduce foreign advanced technology, our country has also put much emphasis on the research of the EMU innovation to promote the localization of the EMU. EMU localization not only need the innovation of technology but also need the manufacturing techniques that matched with the advanced technology, the training work for the EMU operating crew, the EMU maintenance and other work. The braking system is the key technology in the manufacturing of EMU,plays a very important role in the development of EMU technology.The brake system is that concerned fully about the safety and is full of control and diagnosis system. It is a very integrated system which involves a variety of mechanical, braking control system, and pneumatic components. Brake control system will play the role of controlling the signal, generate and transfer signals and coordinate well with the brake under the control of the driver. As a main and very important section controlled by air, brake control system adopt the way of combining both regenerative brake and electrical signal air brake. There are many different types of brake control devices. They are composed by different kinds of brake valve of different working mechanism. It is just because that the valve delivers accurate air pressure reliably and safely that can ensure the normal operation of the brake system. Therefore, we must guarantee the reliability of the brake valve to ensure that the locomotive can park safely.This paper, taking the CRH2300km/h EMU as the research object, has analysed and introduced relative technology and equipment of the EMU brake system. It also made research on the brake method, the mechanical structure of all kinds of valves and its working principle to determine the trend of the equipment, makes the control logic experimental facility, design the structure of the testing system according to finish the general design of testing platform. According to the precision requirement, we need to design and select part of the hardware on the testing platform to finish the design of the controlling circuit in the testing system. After that, according to the test requirements, we need to use Visual Basic6.0programming language to make a program about relative software programs to design the friendly operation software finally. This experimental software mainly includes two useful functions; they are testing function and data storage function. They can realize the dynamic acquisition, processing and output of data, file management and conservation, the accommodation of test parameters, the regulation of the input and output of analog quantity, personnel management, testing automatically and other functions to achieve the precision, standardization and automation of the test. It is very easy to operate on the testing platform; testing staff can skillfully complete the entire brake control valve test through minimal training. Finally, we need to debug the experimental platform to an optimal condition. We test the valve of high speed train CRH2’s brake system by this platform and the results will prove that the experimental platform can meet the expected design requirements.
