The temperature of substation equipments has played a crucial role in the normaloperation of the substation. Once the temperature goes too high, which can be generatedby the use of closing switch, the aging of transmission line, and a high contact voltage ofhigh-voltage switch gear, it will cause blackouts in large-scale even leads excessive fireaccident. Given the importance of it and in order to guarantee the stability of powersystem, this research object planned to base on the technology at present, such ascomputer date collection, storage, process, communication etc, to design a system to ofauto temperature monitoring to supervise the temperature of substation equipments in realtime.This paper planned to adopt nRF905、MSP430F149as the core chip, combine theiradvantage to realize software and hardware designing. The pivotal section the temperaturedata acquisition node and center node, both of them include power supply units, wirelesscommunication units and microprocessor units, but the temperature data acquisition nodecontains data acquisition node and the center node has storage units and serialcommunication units. After it connect to the power and internet, the temperature dataacquisition node can start to acquire date and sent to center node automatically, the centernode process this date and execute wait and communication commands. The relatedsoftware is expected achieve effective management, it can be developed under thecircumstance of VisualC++6.0, and the software are asked to have the function to print,monitor and parameter setting.The system discussed in this paper is planned to employ data distribution system,which has the character of data central analysis and process, low power dissipation,simplify node maintenance and installation process. It can decrease the time that the staffcontacts with the electromagnetic field. In addition, the development of wirelesscommunication technology makes the unattended temperature monitor becomes practical.
