| The substation important equipments such as high-voltage switchgear, generatrix connectors, cable connector, transmission line joints, outdoor breaker switches and so on are prone to overheating in long-term operation process due to the insulation aging or high contact resistance, which will cause excessive fire accident and cascading outage and result in huge economic losses and severe social impact. So the real-time temperature monitoring for substation equipment is very necessary. By taking the collection, storage, communications, processing of the temperature information as the research object, this subject adopts wireless communication technology to design a set of substation equipment temperature monitoring system.By adopting MSP430 and nRF905 as the main chips, the system design includes hardware design and software design of data acquisition node and center node, as well as the design of monitoring computer software. The temperature data acquisition node includes the microprocessor unit, wireless communications unit, data acquisition unit and power supply unit. The central node includes microprocessor unit nodes, wireless communication unit, serial communication unit, storage unit and power supply unit. Temperature data acquisition nodes start to join the network when power up, and then send the temperature to its center node in an improved TDMA protocol after finishing data acquisition. The center node will collect and analysis each node's temperature data, then wait for PC communication commands and give responds. The monitoring computer software developed by Visual C++ 6.0 provides the function of parameters setting, alarm, display, printing, etc, realizing the system analysis and management. The design's salient features are data distributed collection, low power wireless transmission, centralized processing and display, simple node installation and maintenance. Meanwhile it can save wiring cost and avoid electromagnetic radiation's harm, which also provide an effective solution for unattended substation. |
