Bicycle traffic always has been one the most basic transportation way in our daily life, and it is very important for the urban traffic system. In recent years, with the "Low Carbon Living&Green Travel" concept development, the bicycle receives more and more attention in the country. Researches on the bicycle level of service in the municipal road are the basis for bicycle transportation theories, the basis of bicycling facilities planning and designing, the approach to ensure the cyclists safety and improve service quality of the road. Study the bicycle service level is not only to understand road infrastructure supply, has an obligation to clearly cyclists basic traffic demand during cycling. Built on the study of combing the domestic and foreign, several roads the bicycle level of service was evaluated, to verify the typical model in the domestic applicability. Being dependent on the basic characteristics of the bicycle, analyze the factors that influence the bicycle biking in the road. Subsequently, illegal motor vehicle impact was added to improve the bicycle compatibility index model for evaluating the bicycle link road, and the model’s sensitivity was analysis, to determine the main impact factors. At the same time analysis of the bicycle level of service for road which weighted based the road length, points out that its not properly represent the intersection and link level of service, impact of the overall road service level, as a result, the bicycle road level of service model which based on weighted travel time was established. Built on the establishment model, the bicycle road network level of service is also researched. Finally, in the actual case to verify the model has high value in practical application. The paper mainly research includes:(1) The applicability of the typical level of service model which based on the typical road level of service evaluation methods is studied, and analysis of three evaluation methods, include the bicycle compatibility index model, the bicycle service level model and level of service which recommended by domestic standard, its advantages and disadvantages; pointed out that the various methods applicability;(2) The basic characteristics of bicycle traffic and the factors influence cycling are studied too, clear the bicycle traffic advantages and disadvantages, to determine the function of bicycle transport in the different scale city. Analysis spatial and temporal distribution characteristics, property groups and summarize the its trip characteristics, propose the rudimentary characteristics of bicycle traffic flow, and the factors influencing the quality of service for bicycle road are put forward according to the basic demand for bicycle in transport;(3) Combined with the bicycle rider actual traffic demand, and influencing factor, the bicycle levels of service models for road researched, optimized the typical level of service model, analysis the model of influencing factors and discusses the factors of sensitive degree model, analysis the typical road model limitations, under analysis its sensitivity for intersection and link level of service. Establish the service level of the road model which based on the travel time. With the service level of the road model, the regional bicycle road network service level is covered at the same time;(4) Be associated with the actual case. The bicycle level of service model application process is expounded, and by comparing the improvement measures, found that the validation of the model utility.
