Rely on Shenzhen-Shantou expressway overhaul engineering, this subject iscarried out asphalt overlay structure design method of old asphalt pavement. In thispaper, we established is suitable for the old mask surface of the structural design of theasphalt pavement base rigid-flexible converting formula, and its application in practicalengineering are studied, put forward in the actual application of pavement baserigid-flexible judgment method;The old mask surface structure reliability design methodof the asphalt research and put forward based on the theory of rigid-flexible convertingsystem covering structure design;finally according to the long-term performanceobservation study of the test road， presented typical overlay structure that suit forGuangdong provence. The main achivements of this paper are as follows:①On the old pavement structure evaluation, development and present situation inorder to better understand the road diseases, provide the basis for shield layer structuredesign; On the statistical analysis was made on all kinds of diseases and disease gradeevaluation.②Study and analysis the current design deflection calculation system, holds thatthe present design deflection calculation formula can not adapt to the special conditionof Guangdong Province, so this paper made out a suitable formula through regressionanalysis.③Finite element structure analysis software to establish the finite element modelfor soft conversion to determine the formula of the roadbase structure theoryverification, proved that the soft switch judgment formula has a very high reliability.④Asphalt roadbed is studied in structure reliability theory, the establishment ofthe asphalt pavement structural reliability calculation based on the finite elementmethod, the reliability in asphalt pavement and finish in the design, the limit stateequation of asphalt pavement structure design has been proposed.⑤Put forward based on the theory of firm soft conversion system coveringstructure design method, and combined with specific engineering example of the design.⑥Study on the comprehensive strengh of old pavement,cauculated and analyzedthe grade division of old pavement by using deflection index, and according to highwaymaterials and typical structure survey of Guangdong Province,finally presented some typical asphalt overlay structure that suitable to different deflection grade.
