The Post Occupancy Evaluation And Study On The Overlay Structure Of Hubei Provincial Trunk Road Asphalt Pavement

Asphalt pavement is one of the main pavement structure forms of Hubei provincial trunk highway. Along with the asphalt pavement open traffic, pavement performance decreased year by year. When the pavement performance decrease to a low level, it need to be repaved one or some overlays. And to adviod the casualness and blindness in repaving and renewal of pavement, the practical typical structure for overlay is needed in Hubei province.Based on the previous research, the article stadied on such contents including: the evaluation for using status of old asphalt pavement, the type and design method of overlay and the typical structure recommended for overlay. Based on the analysis of some evaluation method for using status of old asphalt pavement, the article select the evaluation method based on matter-element model, because it could evaluate the using status of old pavement more reasonable, scientific and effectively, and provid the scientific basis for repaving suitbale pavement structure; The article analyzed the influencing factors which decide the overlay type of old asphalt pavement, and then detemine the method to select the overlay type, aslo the article use the decision tree to build the decision model of overlay type, so it is more flexible and adaptive; Based on the design method of overlay for old asphalt pavement at home and abroad, the article put forward the design method of overlay accord with the present situation of highway in Hubei province; Through the investigation of asphalt pavement status of some arterial highways in Hubei and the analysis of using status based on matter-element method, and after considered the economy, the article put forward the typical structures recommended, which include cement overlay and asphalt overlay according to different using status of old asphalt pavement. All of these could provide guide to the design and construction in future.
