Since early eighties of the last century, so far our country’s highways business has made leaps and bounds flew. Especially in the field of asphalt road, It had been reached tremendous and unprecedented growth. But at the same asphalt road development, but also is subjected the impact of the environment and climate; the axle load wheel of vehicles have roller compacted and the erosion of snow, etc. With these factors gave birth to a series of diseases of the roads, there have been similar cracks, rutting, settlement and other types of diseases. Not only makes a serious decline in the quality of roads, affecting the comfort and safety of driving; but also extremely making the effective investment of road infrastructure impaired. So asphalt pavement’s disease management and Maintenance has become a major issue.For this topic, the article has made a careful study to the using performance of asphalt pavement. Firstly, relatively systematic summarized the studies’status of the current Pavement Management System and a number of important research; Secondly, it briefly introduced instruments of Pavement testing and testing projects. Because It has shortcomings to build up an evaluation system, in view of the individual and statistical analysis which is traditional,and the analysis of multiple linear statistical regression, it is difficult to reflect the highly complex nonlinear relationship, therefore, this paper established a comprehensive evaluation of pavement performance by based on the BP neural network. In this paper, a comprehensive performance evaluation of the road, using a geometric weighted average calculation method to avoid the problem of complementarity between indicators of good or bad, so that it can more truly reflect the status of the road, has a certain practical significance. In the area of disease treatment in road management and maintenance, it proposed the corresponding treatment measures and established a optimization model of asphalt pavement maintenance for diseases; then, With minimal weighted sum of squared deviations approach to studied multi-objective decision problems of road maintenance scheduling problem. Finally, though examining engineering examples to reached the role of verified the theory.Now, evaluation method of using the performance of asphalt pavement research has been in the process of continuous improvement and innovation, this article makes a comprehensive analysis and evaluation for pavement management systems evaluation and treatment of diseases, it has a certain degree of reference value for future theory studies.
