Along with the rapid development of industrial automation and informationization, craft equipment innovation has become the important content in the research of technological transformation of manufacturing automation. Nevertheless, the fact that the equipment innovation has no fixed mode for reference, loss of monitoring of overall equipment effectiveness, imbalance of human-machine-environment system has become the key problems to solve in domestic manufacturing craft equipment innovation process.The paper mainly researchs the innovation design method of manufacturing automation craft equipment, then puts forward the function solving model named F-PPM-AC for equipment innovation. Further more, it completes the application analysis and practice on the basis of field survey. The mechanism and process of manufacturing automation craft equipment innovation along with overall equipment effectiveness are analyzed, in combination with equipments’ innovation needs, including humanization and functional integration. The solution to general function of equipment innovation is put forward on the basis of process action design, which defines the fixed model of manufacturing automation technology equipment innovation and establishes the model to solve craft equipment innovation. Meanwhile, from the the point of view of single machine and production line automation, it solved the key problems of the craft equipment innovation based on work study and mechanism innovation, such as production efficiency promotion and product quality assurance of the single machine automation as well as equipment working space optimization of the automation reform for production line.To verify the innovation design method of manufacturing automation craft equipment, the representative single machine automation equipment and automated production line auxiliary equipment in urgent need are developed. In addition, the automatic assembler of auto-parts set screw has been officially running in an Guangxi Liuzhou auto parts Co., Ltd. The single product assembly takes average time of3.8seconds, which is four times more efficient than the pure manual assembly. Moreover, the assemble percent of pass is up to99.4%, and the OEE index as high as78.47%. The assembly automatic feeding equipment in the limited space of sheet stamping at different stations developed for the technical difficult problem of an air conditioning Co., Ltd. in Foshan, can greatly reduce the production costs, enhance the workshop production capacity, promote workshop layout optimization, decrease the labor intensity, as well as improve the work environment.The practical application and evaluation testifies the scientificity, practicality and innovativeness of the solving method of craft equipment innovation for single machine automation and automated production line based on work study. Therefore, the paper explores a feasible way for manufacturing automation craft equipments innovation.
