As the national economy continues to develop, metallurgy, mining and otherindustries will rise, while the large gear is widely used in these areas, and is a corecomponent of the entire device, and easy to wear and tear damage in the actualconditions, affecting the normal production, resulting in unnecessary economic losses. This thesis focuses expensive gear manufacturing, the production cycle is long,labor-intensive manual welding and other restrictions proposed a large gear wornintelligent welding methods. The thesis is first involute spur gear measurement equations are derived from theoriginal push for the polar equation to Cartesian equation. Then introduced the largegear wear measurement principle, including schematics and detection path detectionto achieve by detecting mechanism design to achieve large area detection gear wear. The measured data into a VB program to calculate the design process, through thecomparison of data for the wear of the gear, get worn gear wear. After welding gearmechanism designed by the motor control the direction of the ball screw to achievethree-dimensional movement, and according to the characteristics of involute gear, bypositioning the complex surfaces can be reduced to a linear reciprocating motion, sothat you can achieve patch wear areas. In this paper by using ANSYS-WORKBENCH modeling for welding gearmeshing the model again and impose constraint solving calculations. After analysis ofthe welding temperature field distribution and thermal stress distribution process forthe development and improvement of gear welding gear welding layer performanceprovide a theoretical basis. Welding gear mechanism control system development, wechose the Siemens S7-200series hardware, using the Siemens STEP7programmingsoftware as a system development tools, and the entire process simulation.
