In recent years,the installation of elevator expanding and the growing number ofold elevator leads to frequent elevator accident, Now a large number of old elevatorsis still running for the reason of they didn’t achieve design working life, Andthis part of elevator generally lack of elevator fault monitoring and warningequipment.Once the maintenance is not in place, the elevator is very prone tomalfunction like elevator stoping and trapping people. When a failure happens, theinformation of elevator and the person inside the elevator can not be effectivelydelivered to the maintenance and rescue person, as a result,we can not timely handlemaintenance and the rapped people event,extremely easy to cause the trapped personemotional tension and led to the tragic events.In order to safeguard the people’s interests such as life and property, it has thepractical significance to design a general fault monitoring and alarm system for theold elevators of different brands. After fully studied the current situation of domesticand foreign elevator,this paper Proposed design a common set of fault monitoringand trapped people alarm system, which integrated GPRS wireless data transmissionand RFID radio frequency identification, In order to realize general-utility, monitoringterminal adopt a set of sensors which independent of the elevator electrical system,The acquisition and transmission of the elevator running status parameters areusing the system self-contained module, so the installation of this system will notaffect the normal operation of the elevator, and there is a good fitness for differentbrands of elevators. This is a real common fault monitoring elevator and trappedpeople alarm system.Monitoring terminal can monitor typical elevator malfunction. When the elevatormalfunction trapped people, this system can play appease voice to ease the anxiety oftrapped person. At the same time it can automatically dial rescue calls, send text messages for help, and transferred the running parameters of broken elevator to themonitor computer through GPRS wireless transmission module for the convenience ofdata query and management.This paper design the hardware, software of monitoring system, and produced aprototype, also completed the interface and communications test of monitoringcomputer management software, through the test result judgment, the system designachieve the desired targets.
