Voltage quality is closely related to economic development and electricity safety.High quality and stable voltage depends on the flexible and accurate controltechnology. Traditional voltage and reactive control methods rely on the voltage andreactive power control devices of main transformers, lines, distribution transformersto detect the local voltage, power, power factor, etc. and thus ensuring the normalwork range of voltage and reactive power through independent control. However,with the development of rural economy, the existing voltage and reactive powerregulation technology fails to solve the low voltage problem of user side. Therefore,the study on voltage and reactive power coordinated control of three classestechnology is of great significance.Transformer substations, medium voltage lines and distribution transformersregulate local voltage and reactive power control devices by on-load voltageregulating transformer and switching capacitor banks. But it’s difficult to makecoordinated control on equipment operating status at all levels and thus leading to theregulation margin of main transformers, lines, and area equipments is unable tocomplement each other effectively. This not only wastes the potential of regulationequipments, but also fails to solve the low voltage problem at the end of rural powergrid. On the basis of equipment control strategies at all levels, according to theprinciple and process of three classes coordinated control, combined withcommunication technology, automatic control technology, data acquisitionmonitoring technology, voltage and reactive power coordinated control of threeclasses technology give full play to the regulation margin of equipments at all levelsand excavate their regulation potential to make the voltage stabilizing within theprescribed scope,improve the power factor and reduce the net loss rate.This paper firstly analyzes the phenomenon and reason of the low voltageproblem in rural power grid and systematically discusses the voltage and reactivecontrol strategies of transformer substations, medium voltage lines, and distribution transformer station area. It provides theoretical basis and comparison for the voltageand reactive power coordinated control of three classes technology. Secondly, thearticle uses PSASP software to establish grid simulation model on the base ofdiscussing the process in detail and giving its mathematical model of voltage andreactive power coordinated control of three classes technology. Then it verifies therationality and effectiveness through comparison and analysis on the simulationresults of coordinated control of three classes. Finally, this paper discusses anengineering application example with voltage and reactive power coordinated controlof three classes technology in some area on the base of simulation results and it wellreflects the economic benefit, technical benefit and social benefit of this technology.
