With the rapid growth of the national economy in China,the power industry has followed the rapid development.The demand of reactive power is also increasing with the increase of power load.As a bridge between high-voltage transmission network and power users,the voltage level of distribution network directly affects the power quality of users.Therefor,the reactive power plays an important role in ensuring the safe operation of power grid and reducing power loss.Reactive power compensation for distribution network can maximize energy saving and loss reduction,improve equipment utilization,improve power quality,and expand economic benefits.So more reactive power compensation needed to be put into the power system.With a large amount of reactive power put into operation,the problem we have to face is to optimize reactive power compensation,so that it has greater dynamic stability and economic improvement.This paper focuses on the coordination and optimization technology of reactive power compensation for medium and low voltage distribution network,which has more practical significance for the economic,safe and stable operation of distribution network.Firstly,the basic principle of reactive power compensation is introduced in this paper,several reactive power compensation methods are compared based on analyse effect of reactive power compensation on the power grid and the principle of compensation device configuration to choose the best of it.Secondly,the mathematical model of reactive power optimization is constructed by determining various optimization indexes of reactive power and voltage compensation in distribution network.In this model,the cost and investment parameters of reactive power compensation equipment are added,and the economic benefits are taken as the goal.At the same time,several constraints are fully considered to realize the economic dispatch of distribution network and the basic scheduling strategy are given.And then,the influence of different compensation positions on power grid and reactive power loss are studied based on the thought of economic energy saving,and the optimal compensation position is selected by combining the two methods of accurate second moment of reactive power and sensitivity of network loss.Finally,the voltage control strategy and control flow of reactive power compensation device are improved in view of the actual distribution network to realize dynamic reactive power compensation,the optimal combination of shunt capacitor capacity is realized according to the lack of reactive power of the line.The effectiveness of the method is verified by measuring results,and its economic benefits are analyzed and summarized,and a compensation technique to maximize the economic benefit of distribution network operation is put forward.
