Vernacular Architecture Cultural Studies Of Traditional Houses In Henan Jiaxian

In this thesis, the research of the traditional vernacular architecture culturein Jia County of Henan Province is mainly based on the two following reasons:the first is the importance of architecture culture research. Architecture cultureis an important part of traditional Chinese culture, as well as an importantvector of traditional Chinese culture. In addition, with the research scopebecoming wider and wider, the research perspective becoming more and morecomprehensive, the relationship with architecture creation becoming closer andcloser, the importance of architecture culture research is becoming more andmore prominent, which is known from previous related meetings and relatedresearch results. The second reason is the abundant residential culture resourcesin Jia County. Due to the unique nature historical, cultural and economic reasonsin Jia County, there are a lot of traditional rural settlements and beautifultraditional residences, whose region characteristic is an important part ofarchitecture culture. Based on the correlations between these two reasons, theresearch of traditional residences establishes the concept perspective, which isdone from the architecture culture.The development of the traditional vernacular architecture culture in JiaCounty is not just an increase in the number of villages and residentialresidences, more important is the interaction and promotion between culture,nature and architecture in the process of construction. Through field researchmapping, organization of the relevant literature and participating in practiceprojects, especially the research and analysis about some valuable villages andresidential residences, such as Chinese historical and cultural towns and villages,Henan historical and cultural towns and villages, Chinese traditional villages,Henan traditional villages, cultural relic protection units at all levels andunmovable cultural relics, this thesis aims at doing a deeper level of analysis andsummary the traditional vernacular architecture culture in Jia County, revealingand inheritancing the region architecture characteristics.This thesis focuses on two aspects of research: the summary and inheritanceof the region architecture characteristics of the traditional vernaculararchitecture culture in Jia County. Summary is based on extensive investigation and analysis, for example the investigation and analysis about the vector of thetraditional vernacular architecture culture in Chapter II, such as traditionalvillages, traditional residence, structures and so on. Through the analysis andrefinement about the he vector of the traditional vernacular architecture culturein Chapter II, Chapter III summarizes the traditional vernacular architectureculture in Jia County，which includes the fort-type defense culture, regionconstruction culture and ecological culture. Then guide the practice project, theprotection planning of historical and cultural village of Lidukou village in JiaCounty, to realize the inheritance of the region characteristics in the traditionalvernacular architecture culture.
