Study On The Construction Technology Of The Traditional Dwelling Of The Plain Area In Eastern Henan

This thesis belongs to the "twelfth five-year" national science and technologyplan project " North China in the traditional local-style dwelling housesenergy-saving technology research", Project No.2011BAJ08B01-01, and the HenanProvince Department of Education project " To create a technology research based onthe geographical features of the Henan local settlement", Project No.2009B560013.Residential building is the most basic and primitive of all kinds of constructionbuilt by human beings. The formation, development and evolution of Residentialbuilding are closely related to the local natural environment, society, culture, customsway of life and mode of production, with strong regional features and local flavor.Our country has a vast territory and abundant resources. With the diversity ofnatural landscape, the differences of climatic conditions between the north andSouth, and rich national culture, it gradually formed multiple Residential building.Eastern Henan is located in downstream area of Yellow River which belongs toHuang Huai plain. Affected by Confucianism and feudal hierarchy, it has formed akind of traditional courtyard houses showing the characteristics of sense of hierarchyand axial symmetry, hierarchy order, and the corresponding construction technology.Meanwhile, it has a lot of flexible, reasonable regional technology.With the development of urbanization and the graveness of environmentalproblems, how to build a modern sustainable residential building has become thefocus of attention. At the same time, more and more scholars began to studyecological architectural idea and experience contained in the construction process oftraditional dwellings.Based on this background, this paper studied traditional dwellings from lateQing Dynasty to Republican period, in Eastern Henan. Based on a lot of investigationand interviews, the paper summarized the characteristics of structure technique. Atthe same time, the paper analysed the technique and experience in the spatiallayout,material selection, structure, etc. about how to use and adapt to the natureduring the traditional dwellings construction.While protecting the traditionaldwellings culture, on the one hand, the technology and experience can be applied to the exploration of sustainable development of modern residential buildings; on theother hand, the traditional architecture culture can be inherited and developed in thisway.
