Study On The On-site Investigation Of Traditional Dwellings In Henan Area

The land of China has a vast territory, and different natural environment, culturalcustoms in vary various regions, thus has formed different environment of humangeography, and colorful, including the vastly different architectural forms andconstruction techniques in various places. Traditional dwellings of Henan area islocated in the center,which mainly refers to the vast area of distribution inZhengzhou City, Xuchang city and Luohe City and belongs to the warm temperateclimate. Some of the traditional dwellings are builted by the base environment, suchas Shi Dong Gou Cun in Xingyang area has the obviously natural property, which islocated in the mountain range and the most is for the stone house. In addition to thediligent conduct of the local residents, the traditional dwellings make full use of localresources and integrated the property of the houses in other parts of Henan, which notonly reflect the diversity of Chinese architecture, but also show the uniqueness ofHenan traditional dwellings’ regional features.In recent years, traditional dwellings have come to appear the various failureforms and the different architectural style because of the introduction of new buildingmaterials along with the rapid development of urban and rural areas, which lend tothe part of existing residential buildings can not meet the needs of local residents’living environment and the protection consciousness of traditional architecturalculture is becoming weak seriously, the most important is the form characteristics andconstruction technology, which are the valuable historic wealth in Henan province.Although a large number of researchers have called for strengthening the protectionof traditional dwellings, but the traditional dwellings is still at an alarming rate indisappearing in reality, and regional elements of residence are losing gradually. Inview of this, in the assistance of tourism and Cultural Relics Bureau in Xingyang andthe national"Twelfth Five" science and technology support program project, theresearch group conducted in-depth investigation and field mapping in Henan Provincein the traditional houses in Xingyang area, which create the skills study become possible.In this paper, the framework is divided into two main parts: Study on thecharacteristics and the traditional construction technology of traditional houses, andthe two linked closely and completed each other, which is the unity of the traditionaldwellings of Henan Province.The thesis is divided into five chapters. The first chapter is the introduction part,which mainly introduces the research background, research significance and goal,research status at home and abroad and the main research contents and methods andso on; The second chapter introduce the general situation of traditional houses in thearea of Henan Province such as the location, topography and temperature climate andnatural environment, taking four typical villages as a case study in Xingyang area fora comprehensive analysis to summarize the characteristics of traditional houses;The third chapter mainly analysis and research the load-bearing structure types andwood truss features and performance characteristics of the traditional houses in detail;The fourth chapter focuses on the structure of traditional houses, such as the groundand foundation, wall type and structure, form and structure of the doors and windows,floors, roof type and structure and so on; The fifth chapter puts forward somemeasures of protection or principles, and give some suggestions and the futureexpression of preserved vernacular architecture of the author’s.With the rapid economic development and culture culture internationalization,today, it is very valuable to research on the traditional houses in the area, which isprecious and fragile. Through the excavation of construction techniques of residentialarchitecture, the purpose of this paper is to promote the continuation and developmentof the houses based low technology, to create good cultural benefits, and then toprovide a detailed source and foundation for the inheritance and development of avariety of regional and sustainability of Henan residential houses.
