The main characteristics of engineering machinery are high energy consumptionand emissions. So study on the energy saving and consumption reducing has veryimportant realistic significance in the current energy and environmental conditions. The analysis object of this paper is the representative of engineering machinery:Hydraulic Excavator. The energy consumption and emission quality hydraulicexcavator working mainly affected by its power system, including aspects of itsstructure, parameters and control methods, the study of the actual energyconsumption of hydraulic excavator is to study the design of its power system.According to the energy consumption characteristics of hydraulic excavator indifferent systems and working conditions, the paper draws a conclusion thatapplication of hybrid power system in engineering machinery has a positive meaningby determining the use of parallel hybrid power system, formulating the controlstrategy, studying on power system parameter matching and comparing with commonpower system work. The main research contents of this paper include:(1)Introducing the meaning of study on engineering machinery and its hybridpower system; describing the contents and directions of current research; expoundingthe importance of research on hybrid power technology and its application prospect inengineering machinery.(2)Beginning with comparing the three schemes of hybrid power system, thendetermining using parallel structure scheme, and further matching the parameters ofdiesel engines and electric motor.(3)Establishing hybrid power system model and conducting simulation study;Using multiple work point control strategy to certify Working stability and Fueleconomy of hybrid power system.
