Architecture and culture have never been two separate entities. The former is the latter’smaterial carrier, while the changes and development of the latter promote the evolution of theformer. In the long course of history, architecture marks cultural changes into its body, andculture inject its change into the completing of architectural ideas. With the development ofthe social economy, people’s material life gradually gets the basic satisfaction. Then aftercertain satisfaction of material life, the demands of spiritual life are increasingly prominent.Public buildings, especially the cultural architecture integrating both culture and buildings, attract more and more attention with such demand growth. In recent years, people’s materiallife standards have been significantly driven by the improving of national economic strength. So the cultural architecture with single functional type and small scale are gradually difficultto adapt to people’s increasingly higher requirements of spiritual life. Therefore, the culturalcomplex integrating diversified functions comes into people’s view.Museum as an important cultural building type, plays a very important role in theconstruction of a modern cultural complex. From the view of space function, the space andthe function exhibit a high degree of intensification in modern museums, and the variousfunctional spaces are mutual interdependent and complementary with each other, in order tofulfill the museums’ functions of collection, research, and universal education. From thepoints of space content, the cultural connotations of museums can play their value thoughallowing space participants to experience space in the space episode. From the perspective ofspace transportation, horizontal transport, vertical transportation, and transportation hubs areall have smooth guide function. Thus, it is too significant to ignore space performance ofmuseums in the use of space function, the exemplification of cultural connotation and the guide of transportation in cultural complex.
