In recent years, destructive earthquakes have occurred many times in our country,caused a huge loss, the earthquake preparedness and disaster reduction of buildingstructure is particularly urgent. Isolation technology is credible in many kinds ofstructural control technology, it can effectively reduce earthquake damage of building.Reinforced asphalt isolation technology is proposed, it can reduces the earthquakeshear force of building, and simple in structure, convenient construction, low in cost.Based on sinusoidal excitation shaking table test of full-scale reinforced asphaltisolation pier masonry building, the ANSYS is applied to set space finite elementmodel, and then numerical simulation is given to the isolation pier. Comparison ofboth results of numerical simulation and shaking table test indicates that they agreedwell with each other. The result shows the effectiveness of reinforced asphalt isolationpier and the credibility of ANSYS used to isolation analysis. Reinforced asphaltisolation pier masonry building presents excellent isolation performance under baseexcitation, and the higher frequency of loading pressure, the better performance. Thereinforced asphalt isolation pier technology is suitable for masonry structure.Seismic response analysis is given to the isolation and non-isolation model, theresult shows displacement of isolation layer is increased with the increased inputamplitude under same seismic excitation. The acceleration amplitude at the top ofstructure and story displacement of isolation model is less than non-isolation model,which indicates that the isolation layer has an excellent performance under seismicaction, and it reduces the shear force of upper structure.Isolation design is applied to masonry structure with six-storey, detailed designprocess and construction drawing is given, in order to provide design guiding in theapplication of reinforced-asphalt sesmic isolation technology.
