With the rapid development of national economy, the number of family car hasbeen increasing, which makes the parking problem worse and it has become achallenge to the urban development. It is an inexorable trend that traditional parkinglot transforms to the tridimensional parking garage because of the growing tightnessin urban land resources. But the research on the tridimensional parking structure,whose design is basically referred to technical specification of tall steel structure inour country, is still at the beginning. However, as this type of steel structure withlarge height-width ratio and no floor slab existing is mainly used to park cars, whichleads the side frame beam vibrate easily under horizontal loads.All the structuralfeatures above make the mechanical behavior and design method of tridimensionalparking structure different from these of the ordinary steel structure, so it is quitenecessary to make targeted research on tridimensional parking structure.A17-storey quadrangular drum-type steel skeleton tridimensional parkingstructure is mainly studied in this thesis. According to the structural composition andcontrol load of tridimensional parking structure are similar to that of high-risestructure in which diaphragm is successfully applied, a new tridimensional parkingstructure with diaphragm is presented by arranging several diaphragms. Besides,various static properties of tridimensional parking structure with diaphragm or not arecomprehensively analyzed and compared. The thesis mainly includes the followingcontents:Based on the probable structural deformation that the left and right parking areasare moving in the same or the relative direction, several structural plane strengtheningplans are proposed and compared in detail, then, an optimal proposal is selected. Inthe end, the optimal shape of diaphragm and its composite members are obtainedthrough large-scale parameter analysis on static properties of the selected structuralplane strengthening proposal.The three-dimensional finite element model of parking structure is established bySAP2000and modal analyses on tridimensional parking structure with differentamount of diaphragms are carried out to investigate the effect of setting diaphragmson structural natural oscillation properties and overall performance.The influence rule of location and amount of diaphragm is proved up by comparative analyses on various static properties of tridimensional parking structurewith diaphragm or not,including lateral displacement and internal force distributionof lateral framework and relative deformation of parking and lift area. Sequentiallywe reach the conclusion that arranging diaphragm every four storey is the preferredplan for tridimensional parking structure.Finally, Comprehensive analysis and comparison on12-storey and22-storeytridimensional parking structure with different number of diaphragms are carried outto verify the general applicability of the conclusion drawn by17-storey tridimensionalparking structure.
