Along with the development and the improvement of people’s living standards, delivery has been far from the past that simply mailing a newspaper delivery. Communications, financial and transportation, water and electricity industries such as all kinds of bills, court, taxation and other departments of the administrative judicial documents or documents delivery quantity is growing. In addition, residents of private fee subscriptions are also on the rise in recent years, which requires our newspaper boxes safe, reliable, convenient and easy to make it more humane.According to the above problem, this paper proposes a fusion of GSM/GPRS technology research and implementation of intelligent mailboxes. Its shape is small lockers structure, through electronically controlled door lock control system on and off, and only when normal access to goods or express mail, the system will switch box door. When the postman or courier items deposited, the control system through the beam infrared sensor input signals collected letters, regularly sent to the user’s phone.When the user pick, you can easily extract objects or express mail by entering the correct password. At the same time through the TCP/IP protocol that all newspaper boxes to monitor networked computer system controller Property Management Department, the computers timely check the operating status of the mailbox, including mailbox whether there is a letter, the letter is out of date and so on.The system is a dual-core microprocessor CPU design, development and implementation. In this paper, based microcontroller development system specification, through the system functional requirements analysis, hardware and software design plan and implement various functions of the system through a modular design. This article involves the principle as well as the important procedures in detail. In terms of hardware design, it introduces the system hardware supply module firstly, and then introduces the main control board, signal acquisition board and GPRS module circuit board. The main control board introduces the reader module circuit, RS485module circuit, real-time clock module circuit, JTAG module circuit, HCI module circuit. The signal acquisition board introduces MCU2control circuit and signal acquisition circuit. The GPRS module circuit board introduces SIM card interface circuit, SIM900A chip peripheral circuit and PC connection circuit. In terms of software design, it introduces throughout the main software design firstly, and then introduces the clock I2C communication, routines, LCD display routines, subroutines scanning keyboard, subroutines card reader, and a short message sending process subroutines.In this article, the wireless communication module selects SIM900A module with ATMEGA128controller to implement the design of wireless communication systems. It uses of SMS communication module to achieve timing sending short message, and realizes the TCP data transmission via GPRS network. Finally, software debugging systems requires to achieve the expected.The system has been designed and applied to the cell site running well, designed to achieve the desired purpose.
