Bearing is widely applied to various kinds of rotating machinerysystem as a basis mechanical component to loading and delivery pressure.Solid cylindrical roller bearing has low transmission precision, vibrationnoise, and easy to damage in the high speed and overloaded condition.The inside walls of the hollow cylindrical roller prone to bending fatiguefracture elastic composite cylindrical roller bearing was proposed in thiscase. The essence of the elastic composite cylindrical roller bearing is tofill the PTFE material in the roller of the hollow cylindrical roller bearing.Based on the analysis comparison of solid cylindrical roller bearing andhollow cylindrical roller bearing, the formulas of the stiffness calculationmodel of elastic composite cylindrical roller bearing is established, andthe results are analyzed. The main research of this paper as follows:Firstly, the contact analysis of elastic composite cylindrical rollerbearing is researched. The contact between elastic composite cylindricalroller and inner ring and outer ring are analyzed by ABAQUS software.Based on the above, the distribution of stress and radial displacement isobtainedSecondly, the static radial stiffness analysis of elastic compositecylindrical roller bearing is studied. Based on the static load distributionand the contact between elastic composite cylindrical roller and inner ringand outer ring, the formulas of the static radial stiffness calculation modelof elastic composite cylindrical roller bearing are established And thedifference of static radial stiffness between pre-load and no pre-loadelastic composite cylindrical roller bearing has been compared.Thirdly, the dynamic radial stiffness analysis of elastic compositecylindrical roller bearing is researched. Considering the effect oflubrication, the force and motion of elastic composite cylindrical rollerbearing are analyzed by quasi-static method. The dynamic loaddistribution equation of elastic composite cylindrical roller bearing isderivated. And the formulas of the dynamic radial stiffness calculationmodel of elastic composite cylindrical roller bearing is established on the basis of the contact analysis, lubrication, dynamic load distribution.Finally, experimental analysis of elastic composite cylindrical rollerbearing is conducted. Through the experimental, the static radial stiffnessof the same type solid cylindrical roller bearing and hollow cylindricalroller bearing with55%hollow degree and elastic composite cylindricalroller bearing with55%filling degree are measured. In order to verify thecorrectness of the model, the results between experimental measured ofstiffness and the results of elastic composite cylindrical roller bearingcalculation model are compared. The stiffness value and change trend ofcomparative of three different structure bearing are compared for in-depthunderstanding of stiffness characteristics of elastic composite cylindricalroller bearing.
