Substation secondary equipment stable operation of the power system is an important part, according to the classification of specific functions, they are responsible to the remay equipment monitoring, measurement, control, protection an dregulation of an important task, so the secondary equipment related to the normal operation of the entire power stable operation of the system. In recent years, more and more experts and scholars to focus attention on the Secondary equipment life cycle management and failure prediction of this important and full of promising areas of science. More and more scholars secondary equipment monitoring methods have be en proposed, of which a considerable path as been developed as a mature product, enter the market. And some non-contact monitoring method due to its unique advantages and widely welcomed by the manufacturers and academics. This article by analyzing the substation secondary system by LCC, from the perspective of the best systems to consider the issue at all stages of equipment life firmly establish a comprehensive and integrated life-cycle cost of the cost of this concept in order to achieve the least possible cost to ensure that the national electricity supply the overall goal. By simultaneously the Bayesian probability theory evolved network method, and the use of a failure prediction, through its impact on system modeling, fault prediction can be more intuitive, visualization is achieved. Firstly, access to literature and product description, describes the current main types of secondary equipment, and a variety of secondary equipment has the self-test function, the corresponding self-organize information; introduced Bayesian network failure prediction method basic principles for the operation voltage load shedding device that uses a Bayesian network method designed an application program: the device separately for each module to monitor the operational status of each of its components, the failure probability obtained, according to calculate the final topology of child nodes, that is, the module can realize the function of the probability of failure, the access to this design, realize fault prediction.
