Large-scale battery energy storage system as an important part of the key technologies of new energy generation connected to the grid in the future and the key technology of the smart grid development. As a energy carriers of the battery energy storage system, storage batteries and battery management systems play a decisive role in the grid. However, battery energy storage system is different from battery systems in the electric vehicles, the battery management system puts forward higher requirements. We need to deal with such as how to integrate, how to transfer and process large amounts of data information the problems. This thesis tries to solve the large capacity data information transmission and processing problems in the storage battery management system.The battery management systems generally use CAN bus as internal communication bus,to solve this problem, this thesis proposes an solution that uses FlexRay bus replacing CAN bus. By the Network Designer to complete the simulation for the development of the database file,and then By CANoe. FlexRay building simulation model and doing simulation experiments. In order to complete the hardware experimental platform, firstiy we need to develop the control board with FlexRay communication of energy storage battery management system, and then with analog motherboard,charging equipment, battery pack, monitoring PC unit into hardware experiment platform.By analyzing FlexRay communication simulation experiment,Proved FlexRay communication cluster parameters, transmission signal, data frames correctness of the design,FlexRay communication network model can run correctly in the energy storage battery management system. Through the hardware platform experiment, firstly proved BMU node hardware design and software design with FlexRay communication correctness,and then proved the FlexRay bus can communicate properly in according with pre-programmed functions.Finally the thesis analyzes FlexRay bus communication performance,we mainly analyzes the network delayed, the utilization rate of network and network reliability, illustrating the superiority over CAN bus.
