Roadbed is the foundation of highway, the quality of roasbed affects the use of the entire highway. In southwest of China, there are so many mountains and hills, so the geological and hydrological conditions are relatively more complicated that is hard to meet the linearity requirements, and it will generally have a greater fill and excavation. Considering to the design concept of resource-saving and environment-friendly, more and more earth-rock mixture as a subgrade is widely used in various engineering projects. But the research on earth-roch mixture as subgrade is little, especially earth-rock high slope stability research, there is no unified and more reasonable opinions.In this study, the project relied the Red River to the Nansha road K40+850K40+910segments. The slope stability of earth-rock embankment is analyzed using the software FLAC3D to put forward reasonable stability measures and give the project relied construction technology solutions. In this study, the research is carried out in the following areas:Firstly, the paper introduces the basic concepts of earth-rock mixture and the basic theory of strength forming; the mechanical properties of earth-rock mixture are analyzed separately followed by the compaction test, unconfined compressive strength test, CBR test, etc. Stability factors of high slope earth-rock filled are studied from both the solid foundations settlement and the subgrade deformation itself; on this basis, combined with the earth-rock mixture engineering properties, the contents and methods of slope stability are analyzed for outlined.Furthermore, the finite software FLAC3D is introduced in this paper, the calculation model is established through CAD and ANSYS software, and using ANSYS to FLAC conversion process into FLAC3D to analyze the stress and displacement distributions; safety factors are calculated using strength reduction under no groundwater and with groundwater, the preliminary evaluation is made by this.Finally, pre-construction, during-construction of stabilization measures are put forward based on the stability evaluation results by finite software FLAC3D, combined with the deformation mechanism of Red Nan road; verification and effectiveness comparison for Red Nan road is done based on Bishop Simplified and Jambu Simplified; to provide technical solutions and construction considerations.
