The geology hydrological conditions and topography in our mountains and hillsregion is complex. There are many large fill and engineers will be produced when thedesigner in order to meet the requirements of highway linear sometimes. It’s not onlymake full use of the earth-rock aggregate but reduce the cost of earthwork allocation, low cost and resources if we can use those soil-rock-mixture which come from theexcavation of tunnel and mountain as the filling of roadbed. But as roadbed, thosecharacters of compaction, wet, the slope stability and many other characteristics mustsatisfy the requirements of roadbed design. But at present, the research and applicationabout earth-rock mixture in water conservancy projects are in front. in contrast, in thehighway roadbed engineering research is less, so, there are not unified views in manyaspects especially the characteristics of wet. This paper focused on the following severalaspects of the research work:①Through the screening test, large-scale compaction test, CBR studied thestrength characteristics get the relationship of maximum dry density and the optimummoisture, and concludes that the earth-rock mixture as subgrade filling material isfeasible.②In this paper, the author take some three axis to moist saturated test on earth-rockmixture use GDS triaxial apparatus, to study the characteristics by wet of earth-rockmixture, it is concluded that the axial deformation of earth-rock mixture by wet withincluding stone quantity and the change rule of stress state changes.③With the support of high fill in secondary roads Honghe to Nansha in Yunnanprovince which roadway stake is K40+850~K40+910.The height of the fill slope is55meters. Before analysis the first thing is found a numerical calculation model with CADand ansys software, After that, switch this numerical calculation model to FLAC3Dsoftware with ansys to flac conversion program. Complete these, should be calculatedslope safety coefficient, the calculation results show that the slope stability.④In this paper still use FLAC3D to establish a water level surface in calculationmodel analysis of the effect on the stability of the slope produce by groundwater. Theresults show that the safety factor of the embankment ooze water is smaller than thesafety factor of the embankment is no water, Explain the existence of ground water onthe slope stability will produce certain effect, but because of the existence of the retaining wall and anchor, seepage of the embankment safety coefficient but still morethan1,the slope of relied on the project stable remain.⑤We will discusses two aspects include construction craft and the constructionquality testing of the roadbed filled with earth-rock mixture based on the formerresearch. Summarized the methods for construction technology for earth-rock fill in themix of roadbed; Discussed the advantages and disadvantages of the current qualitydetection method; Introduced use methods of wave sensing technique and additionmass.Through studying on experimental materials’ compaction property, wetting deformatio-n, slope stability of the project and the condition that water seepage, The study resultsshowed that in the65、50、35percentage of rock of rock-soil aggregate mixture, the65percentage of rock is most appropriate for the high-fill sub-grade, while the50percentage of rock is the best for that.
