During the earth-rock dam in embankment process, the foundation and the body of dam will have settlement deformation and horizon deformation because of the weight fore of dam. According to practical condition of Renzonghai rock-fill dam, this paper detailed analysis the safety monitoring data of dam in embankment process and construction period, and set up the layered buried model to study the dam foundation and body deformation characteristics during the embankment process, and through using the stability calculation method of limit equilibrium theory to check calculation and analysis the typical dam slope, and then has drawn the main conclusion as follow:(1)Summarized and analyzed the condition of the Earth-rock dam engineering safety monitoring, such as the development present situation, the monitoring method, the monitor project and the monitoring data analysis method. Based on it, have a preliminary understanding to the deformation law of roc-kfill dam in embankment process and construction period by detailed analysis the existing monitoring data in the Renzonghai rock-fill construction period.(2)Through the three dimensional numerical model for the rock-fill dam, recurrenced dam's deformation characters during the embankment process, and detailed analysis the influence of embankment process to the dam foundation settlement, and find the relation between the foundation settlement and the embankment process height of dam body, and set up the settlement calculation formula of different part of dam foundation during in embankment process, which can calculate the settlement of the different part of foundation at each stage .(3) According to the instrument arrangement of rock-fill dam in project, and measuring point arrangement in the model to detailed analysis, which can make up the insufficiency of the actual monitoring data. The result show that the settlement deformation of dam are mainly concentrated in the dam middle section, the settlement extreme occurs in the dam 0+286 spots, reaches 0.97m.(4)Through using the stability calculation method of limit equilibrium theory to check calculation and analysis the typical dam-slope, we can draw a conclusion that the safety factor of typical dam-slope which is the upstream and downstream dam-slope is more than 1.4 under the normal operating mode and the earthquake operating, which shows the overall stability of dam slope is good.(5)Using the Monte-Carlo law to carry on the reliability analysis of the dam-slope stability, and base on the massive random sampling from the random variable which effect the reliability, and then calculates reliability target and the failure probability of the dam slope stablility. The result show that the reliability of dam-slope is more than 3.7, failure probabilities is 0 under earthquake operating mode, and further affirmed stability of the dam slope in the construction period.
